Yes, males NEED accessories too! Watches, belts, and fedoras – they’re all important components of a man’s closet. These staple items are easy to incorporate into your daily style and are often seen on both the most dapper and ruggedly dressed males. Heartthrob celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Andre 3000, David Beckham, and Kanye West aren’t afraid to accessorize.

Belts

Spring is in the air, and I am well aware that the males are transferred from hibernation mode to the gym, in hopes of impressing either their sweetheart or babes on the beach. While doing so, maybe you lost a few inches around your tummy. A sagging or ill-fit pair of Levis is never cute. Start out by investing in a brown and black leather belt. If you’re a cargo lover, then a cotton canvas belt will do the trick. If you’re a bold type, try adding some color. Start with a pop of red or royal blue. This season, American Eagle has a great selection of leather and colored belts for less than 30 bucks. If you happen to be watching your nickels and dimes, check out your local thrift or Goodwill stores. You can often find a name brand belt for as low as one dollar!

Watches

It shows a lady that you value both your time and hers. Similar to a belt, watches can be found in all colors for various prices. Target has a great selection of watches for the man on a budget. If you want to invest in a higher quality brand, check out the Marc Jacobs collection. And of course, if you are on the status of “Mr. Big,” there is always a classic, yet showy Rolex.

Fedoras

We saw this trend become extremely popular over the past year, and it seems to be here to stay. I always love the look of a classic, crisp white V-neck, a fitted pair of denim (preferably 501s), new Converse shoes, and a fedora. It is a simple, yet polished, look and perfect for a spring or summer day.
