Christys' Hats was founded by Miller Christy in a small courtyard shop off Gracechurch Street in London, England in 1773. Christys' of London still makes high quality hats and caps in the traditional way. Using hatting skills established over 200 years ago, the dedication of the highly skilled craftsmen and women helps to keep a valuable industry very much alive. Today, the making of quality hats is still a very labor intensive process. With some 45 operations involved, many are done by hand. The skills of the master hat makers have to be developed over many years of specializing in one operation. This results in unparelled quality, which has become Christys' hallmark. Christys' Hats are quality high-end products, from felt fedoras and caps, to straw and
Panama men's hats.
